Inspired by Kendrick Lamar’s 2017 album Damn. This would be his fourth studio album that had a great impact on my life. Things in the country were in upheaval. This was also a pivotal time in my life as well. The stortelling on this album had a great impact on me at that time as well as today. So this piece is more of a tribute to that masterpiece of strotytelling and that difficult time in my life, that changed everything for me and I think the country. The 45th president had just been inagurated, our country was split and I see the same issues of that time, with the country amplified today.
